It is ideal for use with chickens, ducks, rabbits, guinea pigs, goats, horses and other small animals or livestock. Simply sprinkle a thin layer underneath your usual bedding, or focus it in damp areas where your animals tend to toilet or where bedding becomes wet more quickly.
Once used, the biochar-enriched bedding can be added to your compost heap, where it helps hold nitrogen and nutrients, producing a rich compost for use around the garden.
This pure biochar is produced to animal-safe standards and contains no unwanted additives, making it suitable for use around pets and poultry. As with any new product introduced into an animal’s environment, monitor your animals at first to make sure it suits their housing and routine.

How to Use
Sprinkle a thin layer of biochar across the base of the hutch, coop, pen or stable before adding your usual bedding on top.
For poultry coops, use approximately ½ litre per square metre as a guide.
You can also apply extra biochar to areas that become especially damp or smelly. Adjust the amount depending on the size of the housing, the number of animals, and how wet the bedding becomes.
